The Yucatan-style paste achiote (ah-chee-OH-tay) is made from annatto seeds, spices and tomatoes. It is used to give color and is also an excellent seasoning.
An ideal marinate used to prepare grilled or roasted beef, chicken and the most famous Cochinita Pibil. Delicious achiote, also known as "Recado Rojo".
Ingredients: Annatto seed, water, salt, spices, garlic, acetic acid and sodium benzoate (0.1%).
