Glossy green fruit ripening to orange/red, 60mm candle shaped and very hot, thick flesh used in salsa and pickled, very similar in flavour to jalapenos but hotter.
Serrano's name is from the mountainous regions (sierras) of its origin in the Mexican states of Puebla and Hidalgo.
Mature plants reach up to 1.5m with many branches yielding abundant fruit. 75-80 days.
